Are you still clinging to the simplicity of your childhood? Is your heart easily swayed by the enticement of earthly pleasures? Are you offended by those who don't think, act, or speak the same as you? Do you let petty disagreements disintegrate relationships? Does your attitude fluctuate according to your situation? Are you focused on the here and now, rather than the indescribably perfect future God has planned?
I think many of us would answer yes to at least one of those questions.
Maybe it's time we all grew up.
Once we forget about this tumultuous, temporary life, we are free to live for Heaven. To live for Eternity. To live for Him. Living in the future doesn't mean all understanding and knowledge will be instantly crystal clear; in fact, verse 12 goes on to explain that we will probably still see life as a mystery, or a puzzle yet to be solved... but don't let that discourage you! It also says that one day "we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely". One day, we will fully comprehend God's unfolding plan! We will know everything completely; isn't that worth giving up our childhood and naiveté?
