Isaiah 53:5

Too often we limit our focus on Jesus’ sacrifice to Easter time… but His gift should always be at the forefront of our thoughts. Without His life, death, and resurrection, the entire basis of our faith, of Christianity, is utterly meaningless.

The punishment Jesus suffered was to take our place. That should have been each of us brutally beaten and nailed to that cross. We deserve it. But, He overlooked our rottenness and chose to love us so much that he took on all that pain and hurt just so we never have to take on that suffering.

Jesus held himself accountable for our sins: the absolute least we can do is to thank Him every day!
